Alright y’all! I just wanted to do a quick check in with everyone!
While life is keeping me busy I am reading! I am currently three books in on the YA Fantasy Send Off. Queen of Shadows was incredible. I’m currently on Snow Like Ashes and it started a bit slow but I am really loving it now. I’m aiming to finish SLA and an ARC of Ice Like Fire before I leave on Friday.

Queen of Shadows – Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass 4)
Ten years of shadows, but no longer. Light up the darkness, Majesty
Maas has completely outdone herself with Queen of Shadows. To be able to read a book and hate it so much while loving every second of it is truly a beautiful thing. The Throne of Glass series reminds me why I love reading so much. Maas creates a world full of characters that make you mourn with them, rejoice with them, argue with them, and support them in every aspect of their lives.
This review will be Queen of Shadows spoiler free but there will be references to events of previous novels.
YA Fantasy Send Off!
So, as you all know I am leaving in THREE WEEKS for Scotland. In honor of my upcoming adventure and the end of my very long YA hiatus I am doing a reading challenge with my book BFF, Raquel @ Bittersweet Reads.
A Court of Thorns and Roses – Sarah J Maas
I was as unburdened as a piece of dandelion fluff, and he was the wind that stirred me about the world.
Maas has done it again. A Court of Thorns and Roses was brilliant. A Beauty and the Beast retelling that is much darker and a great deal sexier.
Heir of Fire – Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass #3)
She was heir of ash and fire, she would bow to no one.
The third installment of Sarah J. Maas’s Throne of Glass series has me reeling. While I absolutely adored Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire is perfection. There were moments that I had to stop reading, set my book aside, and take a moment to let what just happened sink in.
I’ll warn you now, if you haven’t read the other books in the series there may be some spoilers ahead for you!
Crown of Midnight – Sarah J Maas (Throne of Glass #2)
When you do, I want you to remember that it wouldn’t have made any difference to me. It’s never made any difference to me when it came to you. I’d still pick you. I’ll always pick you.
Oh my. I loved Throne of Glass but there are no words to express how Crown of Midnight has made me feel.
In Crown of Midnight we really get a glimpse of what Celaena is truly capable of. She’s ruthless, kind, fierce, and broken. She is by far one of my favorite heroines I’ve ever read about. She’s a walking dichotomy and I love her for it.
