I was incredibly excited to delve back into the world of Caraval. Garber crafts a magical world, much like Legend does. No Caraval is the same as another.
The world building in Legendary is so immersive. The worlds Garber paints had me wishing I was there to experience them for myself. So richly detailed and unique, the world of Caraval is the perfect mirror for Garber’s writing. I loved Caraval, but Legendary hugely surpassed it for me. The world is so captivating, and the plot was so detailed and intricate, I was completely mesmerized by the world of Caraval.
I was really excited to get Tella’s book. I wasn’t sure I’d like her, but I hoped I would. Also, I was excited about the possibility of Legend because book 2 is titled Legendary and all. While the title is multi dimensional, Legend’s identity is still a huge mystery. I loved Tella’s story and experience within Caraval. It was dark, exciting, and full of twists and turns. She was independent and fiercely loyal. I don’t want to say much more for fear of spoiling anything, but I LOVED every minute of Legendary.
Have you experienced Caraval yet? If not then I suggest you GET TO IT IMMEDIATELY.
I was in a panic for a hot minute until I realized Stephanie announced a third book in the series, Finale, because that ending, well let’s just say, OH MY LORT.
