Most Anticipated Reads of 2017

Hi y’all! I know it’s been a while since I’ve last blogged and y’all I’ve gotta say, life has been kicking me in the tush. But I’m back and holding myself accountable to a better, bloggier 2017! With that being said I want to share my Top 10 Most Anticipated Reads of 2017!

Every Little Thing

Every Little Thing (Hart’s Boardwalk 2)

Samantha Young

Expected Publication: 3/7/17

Publisher: Berkley

Any one who knows me is familiar with my love for Samantha Young.  Her On Dublin Street series is one of my favorites of all time.  Her latest series, Hart’s Boardwalk has me chomping at the bit for the second installment.  From the moment I met her in One Real Thing I loved Bailey and I am so excited to read her story.  And Vaughn? YES PLEASE.  If you haven’t read One Real Thing then I highly suggest you do.  You can suffer the wait with me!

A Court of Wings and Ruin

A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses 3)

Sarah J Maas

Expected Publication: 5/2/17

Publisher: Bloomsbury Childrens

cannot wait for the final installment in this series.  I’m a fan of her Throne of Glass series, but ACOTAR blows it out of the water for me.  A Court of Mist and Fury was hands down one of my favorite books of 2016, if not all time.  I’m really nervous to see how she ends the series, but I also can’t wait to get my hands on it and dive in.  Feyre and Rhys and The Court of Dreams and Nesta are some of my favorite cast of characters to date.  I’m ready for it to be May!

Caraval

Caraval

Stephanie Garber

Expected Publication: 1/31/17

Publisher: Flatiron Books

I received an arc of Caraval back in May, read it, and LOVED it.    I can’t wait for everyone to get to read this book.  Caraval was a wild ride to go on and I loved every single second of it.  And bonus, Stephanie is coming to New Orleans for her tour so I’ll get to see her! If you haven’t preordered this book you need to do so now! It comes out soon and I promise you’ll want it to be at the top of your TBR.

The Crown's Fate

The Crown’s Fate (The Crown’s Game 2)

Evelyn Skye

Expected Publication: 5/16/17

Publisher: Balzer + Bray

If you remember my wild review of The Crown’s Game then it should be no surprise that I am supremely anxious to get my hands on The Crown’s Fate.  My poor friends probably aren’t ready for my reaction to this book, and to be honest I am quite nervous to get it but oh my gosh do I need it.  If you haven’t read The Crown’s Game then go do it. Now. And be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster (that is 100% worth it) then go add The Crown’s Fate to your TBR immediately.

Flame in the Mist

Flame in the Mist

Renee Ahdieh

Expected Publication: 5/16/17

Publisher: G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books

I am a diehard Ahdieh fan.  The Wrath and the Dawn killed me and made me whole.  Her writing is beautiful and her storytelling is enthralling which is when I heard about Flame in the Mist I couldn’t wait to hear more about it.  I’ve heard that it’s a Mulan retelling which excites me even further because Mulan is the absolute best.  She’s one of my favorite Disney heroines ever.  Go forth and read all of Ahdieh’s books while you wait for May to roll around.

Wonder Woman: Warbringer

Wonder Woman: Warbringer

Leigh Bardugo

Expected Publication: 8/29/17

Publisher: Random House Books

Leigh Bardugo. Wonder Woman. Need I say more? Bardugo is one of my favorite authors ever and I will always buy what the woman writes.  However, I am on a whole other level of excitement about Wonder Woman: Warbringer. I read the article Leigh put out “WE ARE NOT AMAZONS” which you can read here, and fell in love.  Her connection to Wonder Woman is going to bring a new light to her story, and I think she’s going to do an amazing job in creating a captivating story.

Wintersong

Wintersong

S. Jae-Jones

Expected Publication: 2/7/17

Publisher: Thomas Dunne

GOBLIN KINGS? THE UNDERGROUND? BRAVE HEROINES? FEARLESS SISTERS? STAR CROSSED LOVERS?? Sign me up! Seriously though, just like the rest of the book community, I am not so patiently waiting for this release.  It sounds full of magic, darkness, and amazingness and I can’t wait to read it.  Thankfully I’ve only got a month to go!

Royally Matched

Royally Matched (Royally 2)

Emma Chase

Expected Publication: 2/21/17

Publisher: Emma Chase, LLC

Royally Screwed was delightful, sexy, and fun.  I am antsy to get Royally Matched into my hands.  I can’t wait to get Henry’s story.  The wild child becoming King? Hilarity and sexy times are going to ensue and I am waiting for every word of it.  Royally is a great romance series for those who love NA, so if you like hunks, sexy times, and craziness then you’ll love Royally.

Dating You / Hating You

Dating You / Hating You

Christina Lauren

Expected Publication: 6/6/17

Publisher: Gallery Books

I’m a huge fan of every one of Christina Lauren’s romance books.  The duo write great romance.  With their Beautiful series and Wild Seasons series wrapped I was wondering how I’d get my CL fix then I heard about Dating You / Hating You.  It seems like the perfect mix of funny and serious to produce a great romance.

Pucked Off

Pucked Off (Pucked 5)

Helena Hunting

Expected Publication: 2/21/17

Pucked is wild and full of smut and hockey butts and I totally love it all.  I’m really excited to get the final installment and bad boy Lance “Romance” Romero’s book.  I’m kind of nervous because he’s kind of a playboy and well, a turd at times, and I have no idea who the love interest is.  But I’ve heard nothing but good things and everyone loves Lance so I can’t wait to read it.  Pucked is crazy.  I find myself laughing out loud at times then blushing the next beat.  They’re full of romance and humor and dirty jokes.  If you want a fun, wacky, smutty read I definitely recommend the Pucked series.  Plus, who doesn’t love hockey butts?? I know I certainly do.
