Top Ten Tuesday: Book Boyfriends

So this week’s Top Ten Tuesday is a freebie! I skipped the prompt last week in favor of my own, because of my move to Glasgow! This week I chose Book Boyfriends! My carranam, Melanie, is doing this one with me so you can check out her book babes here at One Less Lonely Blog.

So ladies and gents, here goes the list of the hunkiest, dreamiest, swoon-worthy book boyfriends out there.

1: Chaol Westfall from the Throne of Glass series. Seriously, ladies, Chaol is the best. He is one of my favorite book boyfriends ever. I adored him in Throne of Glass, fell in love in Crown of Midnight, swooned in Heir of Fire, and ached for him in Queen of Shadows. I don’t think I can accurately put into words just how much I love him, y’all. Real Talk.

“I worry because I care. Gods help me, I know I shouldn’t, but I do. So I will always tell you to be careful, because I will always care what happens.”

2: Nate Sawyer from the On Dublin Street series. The third book in the series, Before Jamaica Lane, features Nate as the love interest. And y’all. NATE IS THE BABE. I can read BJL over and over again, because I love Olivia and Nate so much. He’s funny, nerdy, sexy, goofy, and loving. And did I mention sexy? I love him so much. SO MUCH.

” If you’re in Jurassic Park, I’m in Jurassic Park.”

3: Cam McCabe and Braden Carmichael. So, On Dublin Street is FULL of book boyfriends so I had to list my other two favorites. Nate is my ultimate favorite so he got his own number but Cam and Braden? HUBBA HUBBA. Samantha Young knows how to create the dream man. Cam and Braden are alpha, protective, sexy, Scottish, and every other positive adjective you can think. Gah. They’re perfect.

Cam – “You’re stunning. No man can possibly deserve you.”

Braden – “I know you love me, Jocelyn, because there’s no fucking way I can be this much in love with you, and not have you fee the same way. It’s not possible.”

4: Dimitri Belikov from the Vampire Academy series. I just recently reread the series and remembered how completely and utterly in love with Dimitri I was. He’s a dhampir who kicks total bad guy butt. Plus he’s tall, dark, and Russian.  If I visited Russia could I get me one of these? He’s sweet, tough, and tries to do what he believes is right for Rose.  Guys, I love him so.

“No. If I let myself love you, I won’t throw myself in front of her. I’ll throw myself in front of you.”

5: High Lord Tamlin from A Court of Thorns and Roses. I’ve made no secret about how much I enjoyed this book. It’s definitely one I can (and have once already) reread.  Tamlin is…ugh, perfect.  Sarah J. Maas writes some dreamy guys.  I especially love the attitudes she gives her Fae characters.  I think Rowan from the Throne of Glass series is a very attractive character (although, I didn’t list him. I like him very much). Much like Rowan, Tamlin is very feral in a lot of ways. He’s sweet and gentle when he needs to be, he’s aggressive and territorial when he needs to be.  I love me some Tamlin.

“You’re exactly as I dreamed you’d be, too.”

6: River Delaney from Chasing River book 3 of the Burying Water series. Oh baby. River is lovely. He’s hard working, adorable, and loving. I fell for him in Chasing River as hard as Amber does. It is by far my favorite book of the series and mainly because of how much I adore River, and Amber, and their relationship.

“I want you to look at me the way you used to. I want you to think that I’m good. I want you to still want me.”

7: Elias Venturas from An Ember in the Ashes. Okay, so I just finished this book within the last two days.  And from the first chapter with Elias I was cheering for him. I loved seeing his journey and being inside of his head. It also helps that he’s totally handsome and fierce.  And what he does at the end? Be still my heart. I cannot wait for A Torch Against the Night. Give me more Elias! And Laia. And them together! Gah.

“Skies, she’s beautiful. I smile at her, and the blush that rises on her face makes me feel oddly triumphant.”

8: Oliver Lore from Dark Wild Night, book three of the Wild Seasons series.  I literally just finished this book today. I absolutely LOVED Oliver.  I loved him in the first two novels as a supporting character and just an amazing friend for everyone.  He completely shines in this book. Oliver is a quiet, steadfast support and obviously completely handsome and kind. He’s the perfect blend of nerdy and hunky and I really just want my own Oliver.

“I’ve never been the most important person to anyone. But before Lola, I’ve never needed to be.”

9: Reese Anders and Jax James from the Wait for You series.  My favorite books of the series are Jax and Reese’s. I love love love them. They’re fiercely protective of their ladies but they don’t take any crap. They’re so hunky and I can go on and on and on about them.

Jax – “I fell for you before you even knew my name.”

Reese – “Let yourself go and fall with me, and baby, I will catch you. I will get you through this. You just got to take that risk.”

10: James Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie Fraser from Outlander. Jamie is the ultimate babe. He is my favorite leading man and is always my favorite boyfriend. He is everything you could want in a man. Seriously. Scottish highlander? Check. Tall? Check. Dreamy? Check. Every other positive attribute you can name? Check, check, & check.  I can’t put into words just how much I love him. Claire and his story is one of my absolute favorites. How he treats her, how he loves her. I can’t. I need to go read Outlander now. Or at least go watch Sam Heughan do an amazing job portraying him on the TV series.

“Oh, aye, Sassenach. I am your master . . . and you’re mine. Seems I canna possess your soul without losing my own.”

Conclusion: I love a good alpha male. Not like overbearing but definitely protective. I think I need to go revisit some of my book babes soon.
